The Education Declaration
We must stand for these priorities in order to get every child to grade level proficiency
  1. Great teaching

No school can bring every child to grade level proficiency no matter what the child’s family background without acknowledging and acting on differences in teacher effectiveness

  2. More time

Public schools that get every general education child to grade level proficiency and send over 85% of their low-income students to college stop spending money on activities that fail to raise student achievement. This allows their schools to receive much more classroom time and their teachers 20% more pay than other schools.

  3. Open arms

This Declaration is a huge departure from school districts that repeatedly say "no" to the few schools organized around priorities #1 and #2.
