PETITION INSTRUCTION SHEET
County regulations provide
strict guidelines for obtaining petition signatures. Signatures
that are improperly collected will not be counted. Please follow
these directions carefully:

The 8 1/2 X 11
petition is a total of 6 pages. Print the petition single-sided
(not double-sided) on 8 1/2 X 11 paper exactly as it appears
online and make sure that all 6 pages are stapled in the correct
order.
All petition SIGNERS
must be REGISTERED VOTERS of THE PETITION AREA. See the map
on page 6 of the petition.
All petition CIRCULATORS
must be a voter or person qualified to register to vote in
California (CA Elections Code 102).
It is not necessary
to fill all 35 of the petition’s signature blocks. You
may submit a petition with as few as 1 signature block filled.

After the signatures
have been collected, the circulator MUST complete and SIGN the
section entitled "AFFIDAVIT OF THE CIRCULATOR" on
the fourth page of the petition. You can leave the Precinct
space blank. All other Affidavit spaces must be completed. For
most circulators, the place of signing will be ALTADENA.
